Condolence: It was a long time ago but seems just like yesterday that I was hanging around the Millar property on Hines Road. So many indelible memories. So many moments of quiet influence from Big Wayne. He allowed you to read him - to know what he thought, if he approved or not. Each Saturday morning he would head into town to run errands and catch up on the goings on. Very often I would be there and would tag along with Steve. By the time we got to town I would always be car sick. Wayne could never maintain a constant speed. Always on the accelerator, then off, then on, then off! If you ever spent any time with Wayne when Steve was a teenager, you knew that his greatest passion was to help Steve attain his hockey dreams. Wayne was a wheeler and dealer. Calling in favours, extending them, harassing scouts, talking to anyone that would listen about his boy! It was a dream they lived together and a moment in time that will live forever for those memories did not die with Wayne. For as long as we remember Wayne, as long as we continue to say his name, as long as we continue to share his stories, as long as we keep his memory alive, he will continue to live on in each of us. No one is truly gone until they are forgotten. Wayne is unforgettable. You deserve your rest Wayne. God's speed. I am so very sorry I cannot be there to share in the time with your family and friends on Saturday. With the fondest of memories, Shawn
